Processing

Netlify hosts this website and processes your IP address and request data to deliver and secure it. GoatCounter produces aggregate traffic statistics from page, referrer, and browser data. It does not store IP addresses, full user-agent headers, tracker IDs, or information in your browser. To avoid counting repeat visits, it uses the site name, IP address, and user agent temporarily in memory for up to eight hours and then discards them. If you email me, I process your address, message, and related metadata to reply.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interests are providing a secure website, measuring its readership without cross-site tracking, and responding to messages.

Recipients are Netlify, GoatCounter, and my email provider. Netlify may process data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses; details are available in its privacy statement.

Netlify retains data according to the purpose, nature, and legal requirements of the processing. GoatCounter statistics remain until I delete them; backups may remain for up to 30 days. I retain email correspondence until it is no longer needed or a legal obligation requires longer storage.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your personal data and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
